Samsung hopes to win over iPhone users with a new app that gives them the experience of using a Samsung phone. iPhone users can “get a little taste of Samsung” through this web app called iTest.

Interested users can head over to the website, and scan the QR code to install the web app on your iPhone. “You’re about to get a little taste of Samsung, without changing phones,” reads the message of iTest. Samsung clarifies that it won’t be able to replicate every action but this experience should be enough to prove that “there’s nothing daunting about switching to the other side.”

Samsung has actually done a pretty good job up front in bringing the experience to iPhones. One UI with the app drawer, navigation buttons and apps placed like how they’re supposed to are all well laid out. Samsung has even replicated the camera app with a pre-recorded video explaining the different features of the camera app.

Other Samsung apps accessible in iTest include the settings app, gallery, call and dialer app, and email. The messages app also has texts with suggestions on what you can try out in this experience. These text messages are also sent as notifications with Samsung’s notification tone. You can even access the Galaxy Store and check out themes and wallpapers. It also lets you apply themes on the phone. Samsung has also added its proprietary apps including Galaxy Wearable, Health, Kids, and more.

Another surprising element is Samsung actually preparing a call from “Sam” which you can answer but only to hear a pre-recorded message about the iTest experience. You can swipe up to exit iTest and switch to iOS.

iTest obviously has its limitations but the overall experience is pretty neat, and iPhone users will definitely notice the change in UI. If it’s enough to change an iPhone user’s mind is something we cannot answer.
