Foldable smartphones have forced companies to push their innovative capabilities as well as manufacturing prowess to the maximum. It is a tough task, but foldable smartphones have grabbed the spotlight and are staying there. Xiaomi too has made its presence known in this segment. Xiaomi launched its first foldable smartphone earlier this year in March. The Mi Mix Fold has an inward folding design like the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2. The foldable phone also came with flagship specifications such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. Xiaomi is now rumoured to have started working on its next-generation foldable phone. Some key details like specifications and design elements of the next Xiaomi foldable phone have reportedly been leaked and here you can have a sneak peek.

Xiaomi’s foldable phone is also said to feature two displays where one will be built by Samsung and have a 120Hz refresh rate. The secondary display will be manufactured by Visionox and it will feature a 90Hz refresh rate. This foldable phone will also be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 888 processor. It is also said to pack a 5,000mAh battery, and a 108-megapixel primary sensor. Based on the details revealed so far, it looks like Xiaomi is packing some powerful hardware and is set to deliver high-end features on its next foldable smartphone.

However, do note that there is still no official word on the next Xiaomi foldable phone. The first Xiaomi foldable phone is also still quite fresh so we may have to wait longer for the next one. The Mi Mix Fold is exclusive to China and Xiaomi hasn’t revealed if it will be available in other markets. The Mi Mix Fold price starts at CNY 9,999 ( ₹1,14,500 approx) for the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The foldable phone comes in two more configurations of 12GB RAM + 512GB storage, and 16GB + 512GB storage.

In terms of specs, the Mi Mix Fold has an 8-inch inner display, and a 6.5-inch outer display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone has speakers, all tuned by Harman Kardon, and is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. It is fueled by a 5020 mAh battery with 67W fast charging tech. There is a 108-megapixel primary sensor, 13-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and an 8-megapixel ‘liquid lens’ that works as a 3x optical zoom lens and a macro lens as well. Xiaomi says that its ‘Liquid Lens’ is powered by the company-made Surge C1 ISP that lets it focus faster and offer better White Balance with higher dynamic range.
