Xiaomi is reportedly working on a 5G model of Redmi Note 5 Pro. According to a new rumour, the upcoming 5G phone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon processor. The company may soon launch the handset in India, it says.
The rumour comes with an alleged image of the promo of the phone for the Spanish market. The phone resembles the rear design of Redmi Note 10 Pro with a quad camera setup. The promo also mentions the availability of Qualcomm 5G chipset on the device. It is likely that the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor.
Redmi Note 10 series comprises three phones — the standard Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. Both Pro models are 4G enabled, the cheaper Redmi Note 10 offers 5G connectivity.
While Xiaomi offers many 4G phones under its Mi brand, Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G could be the company’s first mainstream 5G Redmi smartphone to be launched in India. It is expected that the phone may come with similar features as the 4G model of Redmi Note 10 Pro.
